What it helps with
Joints, tendons and soft-tissue recovery
BPC 157 supports the body’s own repair of tendons, ligaments and muscle. It’s the one to reach for when your pet is stiff, sore or coming back from a strain or injury.
- Stiff or sore joints
- Tendon & ligament strain
- Recovery after injury
The evidence: In animal studies, BPC 157 sped up tendon healing and helped tendon cells survive and move into damaged tissue. See the studies ↓
About BPC-157
BPC-157 (“Body Protection Compound”) is a stabilized peptide fragment derived from a protein found in gastric juice. In laboratory models it is studied for its role in soft-tissue, tendon, ligament and gut-lining repair, largely through new blood vessel formation and modulation of inflammatory pathways.
- Soft-tissue, tendon and ligament repair models
- Gut-lining integrity
- Inflammatory pathway modulation
For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Published research
Most BPC 157 research is in rats and cell cultures, looking at tendon, ligament and muscle repair. One study measured how it is absorbed and cleared in beagle dogs. No clinical trials in pets have been published.
- Cell study · rat tendon
BPC 157 sped up the outgrowth of rat tendon tissue in culture and improved tendon-cell survival under stress and cell migration.
- Review
A review of the animal studies on BPC 157 in tendon, ligament and muscle injuries. It notes that human data are still lacking.
- Dog & rat study
Measured how BPC 157 is absorbed, distributed and cleared in rats and beagle dogs. It was eliminated quickly, with a half-life under 30 minutes.
